Inwardbound looks like a serious, experience-heavy retreat and training provider rather than a formal academic school. Its strongest fit is for therapists, psychologists and adjacent professionals who want a hands-on, retreat-based entry into psilocybin facilitation, with a clear emphasis on preparation, integration, trauma-informed care and embodied practice. The lineage is quite distinctive: Irish and Celtic framing, with modern psychotherapy, somatic work, IFS and holotropic breathwork woven through it. Reputation-wise, it appears established in the Netherlands retreat scene and self-reports a large number of participants, though the training itself is not presented as a globally standardised credential.

Inwardbound states there is currently no standardised psychedelic-assisted therapy certification recognised globally or across Europe. It says graduates receive a certification from Inwardbound, but this is its own completion certificate rather than an externally standardised professional licence or accreditation. The site also notes that it does not guarantee employment and references Oregon and Colorado as region-specific regulatory examples.
The 7-day Netherlands facilitation training is listed at €5,999 for a shared twin room, €6,499 for a private room, and €5,499 for a triple room. The Stage 2 page also says Stage 1 online training is offered separately and mentions a discounted new price of €399 when booked with Stage 2. Retreat pricing and inclusions vary, but Inwardbound says group retreat preparation includes multiple preparation and integration sessions, while flights, travel insurance and psilocybin truffles are not included and the latter can be bought separately for about €75.
Learners are intended to leave with an Inwardbound certificate of completion, a working grounding in psychedelic facilitation theory and ethics, and practical skills in space-holding, harm reduction, difficult-journey support and integration. The longer pathway also offers an apprenticeship route with shadowing on retreats, which may help towards roles in legal retreat centres, though not guaranteed.
