Synaptic's Psilocybin Practitioner Training is a 6-month hybrid program for students preparing for licensure as psilocybin facilitators under Oregon’s Psilocybin Services Initiative (Measure 109). The program is limited to 24 participants and combines online instruction with in-person experiential retreats. The curriculum includes 40 didactic learning modules covering topics such as trauma-informed care, shamanism, intake and preparation, and group facilitation. Instruction includes weekly Zoom classes, pre-recorded course content, depth instruction sessions, and journal club meetings. In-person components include an orientation retreat, practicums, and graduation. Experiential training includes 40 hours of practicum at a licensed psilocybin service center in Portland, Oregon, supervised by licensed facilitator faculty, 40 hours of apprenticeship with pre-approved mentors, and 20 hours of personal growth work completed outside the program.
