Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy- Theory & Practice Part 1 introduces the core principles and practical applications of MBPT for psychedelic guidework. The course covers mindful journeywork, the stages of integration, the role of the sitter and guide, and foundational interventions for handling difficult experiences. Learners also study space preparation, body scanning, and music facilitation, with experiential instruction through guiding and sitting demonstrations and an art-based exercise on becoming a guide. The course is structured as a self-paced class and is intended for people seeking a foundation in mindful, healing-oriented psychedelic support. About the Provider
Operating since 2012 as the training program of the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness in Boulder, Colorado, Psychedelic Sitters School trains licensed clinicians and guides-in-training in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy® across four medicines—cannabis, ketamine, psilocybin, and DMT—through in-person, hybrid, and online formats. Now in their 13th year with over 35 cohorts completed, they are one of the longest-running psychedelic guide training programs in the United States.
