Prerequisites

To apply for a facilitator licence in Oregon, individuals must complete core training, practicum and pass a comprehensive exam through an approved psilocybin training programme. Approved programmes must have curriculum approved by Oregon Psilocybin Services and must be licensed by HECC or have a determination that a licence is not required.

Accreditation & recognition

OPS curriculum approval is the key regulatory recognition for training programmes. As of 1 January 2024, OHA rules also require programme licensure by HECC or an HECC exemption, and as of 1 January 2026 programmes must be registered with the Oregon Secretary of State to remain eligible for OPS approval or reapproval. No general CME or CE credit claim is made for initial training on the sources reviewed.

Cost

OPS says it does not control or regulate training tuition. Training programmes set their own prices, and prospective students are directed to contact providers directly for tuition and scheduling details. OPS also states it does not set or regulate the cost of psilocybin products or services.
