Dr. Sidney Edsall is an integrative psychiatrist with experience in trauma, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic medicine research. Her background includes clinical work in integrative and hospital settings, as well as trials involving 5-MeO-DMT, psilocybin, and MDMA-assisted psychotherapy.
Dr. Sidney Edsall is an integrative psychiatrist whose work focuses on the effects of trauma and how it can appear as psychiatric and medical disorders in individuals. She is the founder and medical director of Quantum Integral Healing Arts, a multidisciplinary mental health clinic in San Francisco that uses ketamine-assisted psychotherapy alongside practices such as acupuncture, meditation, and mindfulness. Her experience includes research and clinical roles in psychedelic medicine, including service as lead therapist for a Phase 3 clinical trial of 5-MeO-DMT for treatment-resistant depression, co-principal investigator for a Phase 3 psilocybin trial for Major Depressive Disorder, and study physician for MAPS Phase 2 and 3 MDMA-assisted psychotherapy trials for PTSD. She has also worked in several clinical settings since completing psychiatric residency at Stanford in 2006, including UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, St. Mary’s Hospital & Clinics in San Francisco, Stanford’s Center for Integrative Medicine, and on U.S. military bases in Italy and Germany.
