ATMA’s Physicians & Prescribers Psychedelic-assisted Therapy Course is designed for practitioners seeking advanced knowledge of psychedelic medicine. It examines contemporary and Indigenous histories, current research, therapeutic applications, pharmacology, drug interactions, adverse events, and evolving regulatory frameworks across Canada, Australia, and the United States. The course focuses on assessing patient suitability, inclusion and exclusion criteria, dosing principles, safety, collaborative care, and access through Canada’s Special Access Program. It also addresses inclusion and access challenges affecting marginalized populations, including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. The program includes 9 modules of pre-recorded lectures, monthly live Q&A sessions, lifetime access to learning materials and industry updates, an online practitioner community, and 11 optional live online self-care sessions with recordings. The listed course duration is 20 hours, with an additional 11 hours for the optional self-care sessions.
