An introductory training in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy and ketamine-assisted therapy. It covers the history, mechanisms, therapeutic applications, and stage-by-stage practice of KAP across onboarding, preparation, dosing, and aftercare.
PAP Intensive Training is an introductory course in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy, with a focus on ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. It covers the history of psychedelics and ketamine, current research, pharmacology, therapeutic implications, ethics, safety, and the significance of set and setting in treatment. The course includes practical guidance on the four stages of KAP: onboarding, preparation, dose sessions, and aftercare. Participants review therapist skills for each stage and work through role-plays and case presentations including PTSD, cPTSD, TRD, and anxiety. The training is structured over two and a half intensive days and includes interactive sessions, workshops, videos, and rehearsal exercises. It is led by Dr. Dawn DeCunha, who is described as a clinical psychologist and trainer and mentor of therapists practicing Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
