Synaptic's Psilocybin Practitioner Training is a 6-month hybrid program for students preparing for licensure as psilocybin facilitators under Oregon’s Psilocybin Services Initiative (Measure 109). The cohort is limited to 24 participants and includes weekly Zoom classes, pre-recorded coursework, and journal club sessions. The curriculum includes 40 didactic learning modules covering topics such as trauma-informed care, shamanism, intake and preparation, and group facilitation. Instruction is provided by faculty presenting multiple worldviews from wisdom traditions and Western science. Experiential training includes an orientation retreat, practicums, and graduation in person, along with 40 hours of practicum at a licensed psilocybin service center in Portland, 40 hours of apprenticeship with pre-approved mentors, and 20 hours of personal growth work completed outside the program. The course is designed for participants seeking practical training in entheogenic facilitation and post-graduation professional support.
