Facilitator Development & Self-Care is a one-day intensive for psychedelic guides and facilitators focused on sustainable, embodied self-care and ongoing professional growth. The course covers nervous system regulation, countertransference, boundary-setting, energy management, and practices for releasing what is carried after holding space. The live class is scheduled online via Zoom and includes more than 5 hours of pre-recorded webinar content. The day concludes with a 2-hour art-based experiential session led by Dr. Michael Franklin, integrating course themes through creative practice. Course content includes personal development pathways for facilitators, self-care tools for emotional and physical health, ongoing training and supervision practices, and preventing compassion fatigue.

About the Provider

Operating since 2012 as the training program of the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness in Boulder, Colorado, Psychedelic Sitters School trains licensed clinicians and guides-in-training in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy® across four medicines—cannabis, ketamine, psilocybin, and DMT—through in-person, hybrid, and online formats. Now in their 13th year with over 35 cohorts completed, they are one of the longest-running psychedelic guide training programs in the United States.
